Raisin Bomber comes to Berlin Museum of Transport
Journalists are surrounding the probably most famous plane of Berlin, the Raisin Bomber, on 30 May 1996 in the hangar of Tempelhof airport. The C47 Skytrain will be restored by former aircraft mechanics of the Allies and will be given to the Museum of Transport in Berlin for the commemorative year of the Airlift in 1998. The Americans, the English, and the French have supplied the Berlin population with this type of plane during the Berlin Blockade from June 1948 to May 1949
