Recovery of US tank ferry sunk in Main
A hydraulically extendable military bridge of 60 tons weight is installed to help to recover vehicles (l) from a ferry on the 9th of November in 1961, which had sunk in the river Main near Klein-Ostheim in Hesse. The ferry, loaded with two heavy tanks and an armoured personnel carrier, had sunk during heavy rainfall. A soldier of the ferry crew drowned
