A telegraph by Adolf Hitler from Berlin to the NSDAP politician Ernst Emil Z"rner with the text: Please register me as your subtenant = Adolf Hitler'. Based on that, the (sham) registration as subtenant at the address Hohetorwall 7 in Braunschweig allowed Hitler to obtain the German citizenship. There is no proof about Hitler living in Braunschweig
