Third Reich - Winterhilfswerk
President of the Police of Berlin Wolf Heinrich Graf von Helldorf (m) during a collection on the streets for the Winterhilfswerk (translates as Winter aid organisation) in Berlin in 1934. The Winterhilfwerk replaced the winter aid for unemployed people in 1933, which was formerly organised by the communes. The slogan of the Winterhilfswerk was Fight against hunger and cold'. The income was used for racially valuable, hereditarily healthy families, Jews in need were left empty-handed
