Released US soldiers report on Soviet-German imprisonment
After their release, the two US soldiers Night (left) and Michalowski (right) report in Berlin on 20 May 1953 on their time in Soviet and East German prisons. Because of missing local knowledge, both had crossed the sector border in Berlin inadvertently and were arrested by the People's Police who later handed them over to the Soviet military police. Both were under arrest for more than six months
