Shopping mall fire in Frankfurt
Emergency task forces of police and fire brigade inspect the burnt out fourth storey of Kaufhof in Frankfurt on the 3rd of April in 1968. Two shopping malls in Frankfurt were set on fire that night. Explosive cartridges and a phone call to the editorial department of the dpa Deutsche Presse-Agentur confessing the attack, underline the possibility of politically motivated attack. Among the culprits are the later members of the RAF Andreas Baader and Gudrun Ensslin. The attack and its consequences is regardes as the root of the RAF terror
