US soldiers land in Germany for the participation in the man
Soldiers of the US army during their arrival at the airport in Frankfurt on the Main with an airplane of the type Starlifter C-141 on 6 January 1969. They participate in the manoeuvre REFORGER I - Return of Forces to Germany'. Altogether around 17.000 soldiers participated in the manoeuvre, many of them were brought from the USA to Germany via air bridge. The equipment of the soldiers has partially been in depots in Germany already
