Traffic jam due to held back US convoy at border crossing po
A long traffic jam of private cars next to a held back convoy of the US army at border crossing point Dreilinden on the 11th of October in 1963. Private cars were released to drive on to West Berlin, whereas the American military vehicles remained held back. Due to holding back two US convoys at the border crossing points Babelsberg and Marienborn by the Soviet troops, long traffic jams and high latency came up in the interzonal traffic between the Federal Republic of Germany and West Berlin
