West Berlins at Sunday stroll at the Berlin Wall

On 27th august 1961 many West Berlin citizens pass the checkpoint on Friedrichstrasse during their Sunday stroll along the barrage, which was recently built by the government. The checkpoint, which was known as Checkpoint Charlie later on, was secured by heavy Patton tanks of the US Army at that time.
