WWII - North African Campaign 1941

Soldiers of the German Wehrmacht are looking for water together with locals in the desert of Tunesia on 5 May 1941, place unknown. Nazi Propaganda on the back of the photograph: In search for water in the desert. A short report from the front behind the front. A simple scaffold carries the drill. - Locals help the soldiers with the difficult work. Repeatedly, the drill hits rock only a few meters below the ground - then the stone has to be chiseled out. (Defects in the quality due to condition of historical material.)
