This Nazi propaganda image depicts camouflaged tents of the German Wehrmacht in Africa, published on 29 January 1942. Place unknown. The text on the back of the image reads: Tents in Africa. On the flat terrain of the desert, the soldiers can often only shield themselves from enemy view through special camouflaging. But also this camouflaging is at times linked to great difficulties because there are not many trees or bushes available. Here, the soldiers have brought brushwood to cover their tents on the open terrain so that they cannot be seen in the bird's eye perspective. - On the top: camouflage works on the tent, in which they live in. - Below: The camouflaged tent that can barely be recognized even at a small distance
