A seaplane of the type Arado AR 196 is pictured flying over the Baltic Sea around 1939. The Arado Ar 196 was a standard aircraft of the German Navy in World War II. The low-wing aircraft was equipped with two floats. It was produced in series from July 1939 until March 1944 at Arado Warnemunde (ArW).
