King Faisal of Iraq and King Ibn Saud of Najd signed a peace treaty aboard HMS Lupin. Feb. 22, 1930. The new treaty granted independence to Iraq and Najd (non-coastal Arabian Peninsula). Seated L-R: Sir Brooke Popham, RAF; Capt. Bernard of the Lupin; Sir Francis Henry Humphrys, British High Commissioner; King Faisal of Iraq; King Ibn Saud of Naji; Naji Pasha Suwada.
