Costume of the merveilleuse Lodoiska, French Directory era.. Costume of the merveilleuse Lodoiska, who promenaded in the Jardin Egalite, Paris. She wears a diaphanous tunic of gauze decorated with gold stars, plumed headdress, and carries a royalist fan. Handcolored etching by Auguste Etienne Guillaumot Jr. from Costumes of the Directory, Rouquette, Paris, 1875. The etchings were made from designs by Eugene Lacoste and Draner after prints of the era 1795-99
