Elizabeth Bagot or Mary Bagot, Countess of Falmouth

Elizabeth Bagot, or Mary, Countess of Falmouth and Dorset, wife of Charles Berkeley, 1st Earl of Falmouth, then Charles Sackville, 6th Earl of Dorset, later mistress of King Charles II, one of the Windsor Beauties, 1645-1679. She holds a cannonball on her lap in reference to her first husband's death in the Battle of Lowestoft 1665. Steel engraving by J.
