Young girl of the Canton of Unterwalden (now Obwalden and Nidwalden), Switzerland, 19th century. She wears a hat adorned with flowers and ribbons, a cap with ribbons, and an embroidered bib decorated with pearl rosettes (this is sometimes only painted cardboard).
