Sarikamis (Sarighamish) - a town and a district of Kars Province in the Eastern Anatolia region of Turkey. Scene of a battle during World War One between Ottoman Turkish and Russian forces, resulting in an extraordinarily costly defeat for the Turks (see: 10923560).
