The Parteiadler, emblem of the National Socialist German Workers Party (Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei), which became commonly known in English as the Nazi Party. Known initially as the German Workers Party, the extended name was introduced in 1920. The emblem is the traditional German eagle, standing on a swastika surrounded by a wreath of oak leaves.
