The Man with the Moneybag and His Flatterers, copper engraving by Johannes Wierix (1549-circa 1620), after Pieter Bruegel the Elder (circa 1525-1569), round format, diameter 18 cm, based on a proverb or saying: He who holds the sack of gold will always have flatterers'. It was later the subject of a colour painting by Pieter Bruegel the Younger (1564/5 -1637/8)
