Nuns care for plague victims in a Paris hospital. Corpses are sewn into shrouds on the left, whilst a priest gives communion to a bedridden person. The sick are nursed, fed and attended to in large beds. A crucifix hangs on the wall, and windows and decorated columns can be seen in the background
