1937 Coronation, Royal Greys draw shrouded state coach
The 4 ton golden Coronation (state) coach is pulled by the famous Royal Greys through Knightsbridge shrouded in cloth, returning to Buckingham Palace after being renovated by a firm of Chelsea coach builders prior to the 1937 Coronation of King George VI. The coach was first used at an opening of Parliament in the reign of King George III and has been used for every Coronation since that of King George IV
