2nd King Edward's Horse, men of the rank & file on drill gro
Men of the rank and file in the 2nd King Edward's Horse marching on the drill ground at White City where the regiment was quartered in 1914 before going to the front. The Tatler comments that, as the above picture shows, the backbone of this corps consists of some really magnificent men, who will do great service when, as is shortly expected, they go to the front. One suspects that the tallest and handsomest were perhaps placed at the front for the benefit of press photographers! The regiment was raised by Major Norton Griffith
