Abyssinian Crown returned
In 1868, Lord Napier of Magdala captured and brought back to England the Crown of Emperor Theodore of Abyssinia, a spectacular example of East African decorative art, which was displayed at the Victoria and Albert (V&A) Museum. King George V returned the crown in person to Regent Ras Tafari (later Haile Selassie, Emperor of Ethiopia) during his visit (accepting on behalf Empress Zewditu, the daughter of Menelik II)
