Advert for the Ministry of Food 1941

Let's talk about your child's food'. We women at the Ministry of Food who assist Lord Woolton in answering your letters, share his deep interest in helping you to feed your children properly in war-time. Our hearts are in it: many of us have children of our own and, like yourselves, we are practical housewives. We know how worrying it is when you can't buy foods the children are used to. But we have been trained to know food values and how one food can take the place of another if necessary; and we are glad of the opportunity to share that knowledge with you
