Now... when every minute counts Many of you are doing war work as well as running your homes; others, with children to care for, are without domestic help. You have to prepare nourishing, appetising meals in the least time. Cooked meats from your butchers. Part of your meat ration may be corned beef, all ready cooked. Try it in a farmhouse pie, which is very quickly made. Let the hay-box cook for you. Stews soups, haricot beans, porridge or root vegetables will cook by themselves in a hay box. Cook in advance. Cook things to be served cold, or re-heated
