Alfonso XIII (1886 - 1941), photograph taken when Alfonso XIII was six yeras old, becoming monarch of Spain at birth as his father, Alfonso XII, had died the previous year. Also know as El Africano or the African due to his Africanist views. King of Spain until 14 April 1931, when the Second Spanish Republic was proclaimed
