The Anglo-Finnish Dinner, 1936
The annual Anglo-Finnish Society dinner held at Grosvenor House in London. Lt-General Sir George Macdonogh, President of the Society, proposed a toast to Finland, and it was responded to by Field-Marshal Baron Mannerheim, the celebrated Finnish military leader. Also present were M G A Gripenberg, the Finnish Minister; Sir Rowland Sperling, former British Minister to Finland; and Miss Patricia Bowers, daughter of the US Ambassador to Spain
