Augustus John
Augustus Edwin John (1878 - 1961), Welsh painter, draughtsman, and etcher. studied at the Slade school of art, becoming the President of the National Portrait Society in 1928. His well known portrait of Mme Suggia was sold in the Tate gallery in 1921
