Professors Ayrton and Perry's new electric railway, exhibited at the Crystal Palace Electric Exhibition in 1882. Ayrton and Perry met at the Imperial College of Engineering and Japan and together invented a wide of range of electrical devices. They worked on railway electrification together and invented the first electrical tricycle in 1882
