Bathers at Baden
Bathers enjoying the seaside life at landlocked Baden, renowned for its thermal springs. A Lido was built in the 1920s, sixteen miles from Vienna, to attract more visitors. Vast quantities of sand were imported in trucks and lorries to a six acre site where a new bathing establishment was built. There was an open air bath measuring 360 by 145 feet capable of accommodating 2000 bathers at a time
