Battle of Daratoleh - Rescue of Captain Bruce

An heroic incident of the Battle of Daratoleh - the rescue of Captain Bruce. Captain Bruce, R.A. Staff officer to Major Gough, was wounded at short distance while the majority of the company retreated. Captain Rolland, who was with him, ran back 500 yards and returned with a camel for Bruce, while Captian Walker, and other men (one Sikh, two Yaos and one man of the Somali Camel Corps) kept off the enemy. The Sikh soldier was wounded and Bruce was shot again, this time mortally
