The Begum of Bhopal at the White City
For to admire and for to see - but not to be seen. The Begum of Bhopal (Sultan Jahan, 1858-1930) visited the Coronation Exhibition at the White City, London, accompanied by Lieut-Colonels F Bayley and her entourage. According to her custom when out of doors, she wore a veil which completely concealed her face, and had two holes for the eyes
