The Betting Book at White's club

A record of historic wagers, the famous betting book at White's club in 1751. The club was renowned for its high wagers between members, who would bet on anything from which lady of their acquaintance would be the first to give birth, to which raindrop on a window pane would reach the bottom first. This particular page records a number of wagers betting on the likelihood of other members remaining alive by a certain date in the future
