The Bride's Trousseau
Page from The Sphere featuring a series of illustrations of outfits designed by Molyneux for the Duchess of Kent's (formerly Princess Marina of Greece) trousseau, following her marriage to Prince George, Duke of Kent on 29 November 1934. The top left sketch shows the dress made by couturiers, Reville of Hanover Square, worn by Queen Mary to the wedding, in pastel blue and Australian gold brocade woven in a classic floral design. The photograph shows the finishing touches being made to an evening gown for Princess Marina at Captain Molyneux's dressmaking establishment in Grosvenor Street. Molyneux, who also designed the royal wedding dress, was one of the Duchess's favourite designers, his elegant, classic styles suiting her slim frame well
