Photograph of the bridge on the border between Germany and Luxembourg, having been blown up on the German side. Despite Hitler's promise in March earlier that year not to breach Luxembourg's sovereignty and Luxembourg's determination to maintain neutrality, the prospect of a German invasion by September seemed likely, hence the Sphere's caption "indications of war on the Luxembourg frontier"
