Bringing the Wounded from the Front, WW1
Page from The Sphere magazine detailing the various stages the wounded went through before arriving at a base hospital. They would be given immediate first aid at a regimental aid post close to the front line, and would move from there to an advanced dressing station. After that either to a divisional field hospital or a casualty clearing station. Then by hospital train (usually) to a base hospital
