Bystander Riviera supplement - train de luxe 1913
Cover of The Bystander magazine's Riviera supplement carrying an illustrated advertisement for the Train de Luxe Calais-Mediterranean Express which ran daily from Calais to the Riviera. It ran in connection with the 11am train from London Victoria (South East and Chatham Railway) and the journey took 22 hours in total. As illustrated, the train conveyed travellers to the Cote d'Azur in the most comfortable surroundings
