Canberra: tourist class playroom
Colour illustration depicting the tourist class playroom for young travellers on board P&O's superliner Canberra around the time of her maiden voyage to Sydney, Australia in 1961. Designed by London architect John Wright, and with murals by Mary Fedden, the nursery featured a magnetic wall with letters and numbers. Canberra was the biggest ship to be built by Harland and Wolff shipyard since White Star's Britannic in 1914
