Captain Critchley and his three sons, WW1

A Canadian contingent, a patriotic family party for the front - Captain O. A. Critcheley, a Canadian with a large ranch in Alberta pictured with his three sons, who had all patriotically come to Britain to serve in the First World War. From left to right are Mr W. R. Critchley, who was running a machine gun detachment in an infantry battalion, Captain A. C. Critchley, Captain O. A. Critchley and Mr J. A. Critchley, all of Strathcna's Horse. Captain A. C Critchley and Mr J. A. Critchley were in the Canadian Regulars and played in their regimental polo team. Captain Alfred Cecil Critchley went on to found the Greyhound Racing Association in Britain, and was a popular member of society, known as Critch. His father became steward of the organisation
