Carole Lombard as an aviation enthusiast
Carole Lombard pictured standing over the cockpit of an aeroplane. The Sketch magazine's caption states she has, recently become air-minded. She now avails herself of every spare moment to go to the hangars and get out her aeroplane for even a short flight. Lombard was killed on 16th January 1942, after a plane she was flying in took off from Las Vegas and crashed into Mount Potosi
