Cathy McGowan (b. 1943), journalist and TV presenter, finding fame and iconic style status as the presenter of the cult pop programme Ready Steady Go!'. McGowan's style was admired and copied by a legion of teenage fans and she was dubbed, Queen of the Mods. Seen here at a launch of a new range of shoes at a branch of Dolcis on Oxford Street
