Caricature portrait of Cecil Aldin (1870 - 1935), artist and illustrator, by his good friend John Hassall. Aldin was particularly well-known for his sporting pictures, and delightful illustrations of dogs, denoted by the horse in the background and the dog at his feet, although the dog itself is the scruffy trademark mongrel Hassall often included in his own drawings
