A Chinese Cage 1842
Chinese family looking at a European woman sitting in a cage. Cage like this was brought back to Britain from China. It was claimed to be similar to the one Mrs. Noble, wife of the captain of the ship Kite, had been confined in after that ship's wrecking on the coast of China
