Construction of Barlow's Tower Tunnel under the Thames 1869
Putting up the castings to form the second tunnel beneath the Thames. (Isambard's Rotherhithe Tunnel being the first) The tunnel passes from Tower Hill to Tooley Street, near the London Bridge Station. Made from a circular iron tube 7 foot in diameter laid deep in the clay of the river bed
