A sectional view of Westminster Abbey showing the reporters copy chute. The chute facilitated the despatch of newspaper copy from the Abbey on the day of the coronation of King Edward VII and consisted of a wooden tube or chute leading downwards from the triforium - the upper gallery over the main arches of the north transept which was fitted up as a reporters gallery
