Coronation 1902 - Standard bearer Mr F. S. Dymoke
Mr. Francis Scaman Dymoke, 32nd of Scrivelsby (1861 - 1946), standard bearer at the coronation of King Edward VII. Since 1292, the Dymokes had been the hereditary champions of England; the last Dymoke who acted as King's Champion, riding into Westminster Hall on horseback, was at the coronation of George IV. But the Dymokes continued to take part in coronations as standard bearers. Frank Scaman Dymoke, was also Champion to King George V, Edward VIII and George V and also took part in the 1911 and 1937 coronations
