Four men involved in the festivities for the 1953 Coronation. Top left, Benjamin Britten who composed the Coronation opera, Gloriana, which had its premiere at the Royal Opera House on June 8th in the presence of the Queen. Top right, S. J. De Lotbiniere, Head of Television Outside Broadcasts who ensured the smooth-running and continuity of the television coverage. Bottom right, Frederick Ashton who choreographed a new ballet, Homage to the Queen and bottom left, Castleton Knight who made the technicolour film, A Queen is Crowned
