The foreman of the jury conferring with the Coroner in Sutton village hall where a Coroner's Court was held in order to decide whether the treasure unearthed at Sutton Hoo should become the property of the State or of Mrs Edith Pretty on whose land it was found. After a two and a half hour sitting the jury gave a verdict in favour of Mrs Pretty
