A costume for the Eclipse Ball, a pageant ball to take place on 17 December at the Park Lane Hotel, London, in aid of St John's Hospital, Lewisham. The theme was A Thousand and One Lights, with sixty performers. Shown here is the Begum Aga Khan as Venus, to appear in the Night tableau. Andree Josephine Carron (1898-1976) was the third wife of the Aga Khan III, and was known as Princess Andree Aga Khan
