Advertisement for Cranks Shop and Crank Salad Table - part of a small chain of wholefood and vegetarian restaurants and cafes that started by Daphne Swann and David and Kay Canter in in London in 1961. Cranks continued to be a successful business in the 1980s and published popular cook books. At the time of writing, only one Cranks restaurant remains in the UK - in Totnes in Devon
